Our
president has over 25 years
experience consulting in the health care, social service and
library industries. His specialties are strategic planning, team
building, board and management development and executive
coaching. He has extensive experience working with faith-based
organizations.
Before establishing Wright Directions, Inc. in 1989, Dick was
the Corporate Director of Strategic Planning at
Alexian Brothers Health System, Inc. prior to which he was the Director of
Management and Organizational Development at Loyola University
of Chicago. Dick has also served as a high school teacher,
guidance counselor and administrator.
Dick has facilitated the development of dozens of strategic
plans. He has conducted hundreds of presentations and workshops
throughout the country before top executives, board members,
middle managers, supervisors and support staff. He has been a
featured speaker at many national association meetings,
including the American College of Healthcare Executives, as well
as, numerous state and local conferences, including the Illinois
Library Association and Life Services Network.
Dick serves on the continuing education faculty at McHenry
County College.
Since July of 1999, he has served as President of the Rolling Meadows
Library Board of Trustees and since December of 2003 he has been
on the board of United Methodist Homes & Services. He has
written two books, one on career choice and the other on an
insightful personality theory and co-authored a unique
personality inventory, both of which help in understanding
"people differences".
His academic credentials include a Doctorate in Educational
Administration and Masters degrees in Guidance and Counseling
and in Business Administration.
